Distribution of Educational Materials to Students in Orphanages
As part of its community development and educational support initiatives, SHALAR Foundation organized a distribution programme at Thakkar Bapa Ashram, Rayagada, Rayagada District, during the financial year 2025–26. The programme was organized to support the educational needs and overall well-being of orphan children residing at the Ashram. 150 orphan children were provided with essential stationery and educational materials, along with lunch.
Objectives of the Programme :
- To provide essential educational materials to orphan children.
- To support children in their regular studies and educational activities.
- To encourage children to continue their education with greater interest and SHALAR Foundation | Annual Report 2025–26 confidence.
- To reduce the burden of purchasing basic stationery and study materials.
Distribution of Educational Materials :
SHALAR Foundation distributed essential stationery and educational materials to 150 orphan children residing at Thakkar Bapa Ashram. The materials included:
- Pen
- Pencil
- Note Books
- Books
These materials were selected considering the day-to-day educational requirements of the children. The distribution helped ensure that the children had access to basic study materials required for attending classes and completing their educational activities.
Lunch Distribution :
Along with educational materials, lunch was provided to all 150 children. The lunch distribution was organized as a part of the Foundation’s effort to support the children’s nutritional well being and make the programme meaningful beyond educational assistance.
